Technologies We Use
We use cookies, pixels, local storage and software development kits to remember things about you so that we can provide you with a better experience.
Cookies are small text files that enable us and our service providers to uniquely identify your browser or device for various purposes, including those described above. Cookies normally work by assigning a unique number to your device and are stored on your browser by the websites that you visit as well as third-party service providers for those websites.
SDKs are blocks of code that may be installed in the website and/or mobile applications. SDKs help us understand how you interact with the website and/or mobile applications and collect certain information about the device and network you use to access the website and/or mobile application.
Pixels are small invisible images that are embedded in certain website pages or emails. Pixels collect information about your visit to a website page, record the fact you opened an email and can set cookies.
Local storage allows data to be stored locally on your browser or device and includes HTML5 local storage and browser cache. Local storage is normally used to speed up site functionality and remember your preferences.
Categories of Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies
Tracking technologies can either be “first-party” or “third-party”. First-party tracking technologies refers to tracking technologies that we set and use directly. Third-party tracking technologies refer to tracking technologies set by third parties (such as analytics or advertising service providers) through our Site.
The types of tracking technologies used by us and our partners in connection with the Site can be classified into one of four categories, namely (i) “Strictly necessary”, (ii) “Functionality”, (iii) “Analytics and performance” and (iv) “Advertising and marketing”. We have set out some further general information about each of these categories below.
(i) Strictly necessary
These tracking technologies are essential to provide you with the Site and/or Mobile App and the features you have requested, such as to allow you to log into secure areas of the Site and/or Mobile App. Because these technologies are essential for the Site, Mobile App and the features you have requested to work, you cannot decline these tracking technologies.
(ii) Functionality
Functionality tracking technologies record information you enter or choices you make, such as your login details, login status, ID, language preference for the Site and/or Mobile App and your cookie consent choice. They help make the Site and Mobile App work more efficiently and enable us to tailor the Site and Mobile App to your preferences.
(iii) Analytics and performance
We use analytics and performance tracking technologies to analyse how you use the Site and Mobile App, including which pages you view most often, how you interact with the content, measure any errors that occur and test different design ideas. The information is used to report and evaluate your activities and patterns as a user of the Site and/or Mobile App.
(iv) Advertising and marketing
Our Site and Mobile App may use third-party advertising and marketing tracking technologies. These tracking technologies help us, and third parties in some cases, promote our services on other platforms and websites and measure the effectiveness of our campaigns.
How to Manage Cookies and Similar Technologies
You can decide whether or not to accept and control the setting of cookies and similar technologies on your device using your browser’s settings. We cannot delete cookies and similar technologies set on the Site and/or Mobile App that are managed by other parties (for instance Google etc.). You can delete them in your browser’s settings.
Blocking and/or deleting cookies or similar technologies may mean that any Site and/or Mobile App preferences will be lost.
